Suji Dhokla Recipe | Rava Dhokla Recipe | How to make Rava Dhokla
Materials
- 1 cup Semolina
- 1 cup curd
- 1 tsp Ginger & Chilli paste
- 2 tsp Salt as per taste Oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- Water as per required
- 1 tsp Eno fruit salt
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 pinch Asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp White sesame seeds
- Curry leaves
- 4 Slit green chillies
- 1 tsp Lime juice
Instructions
- To make Rava Dhokla, first of all, take a bowl and add 1 cup of fine semolina to it.
- Now add 1 cup curd, 1 tbsp ginger & chilli paste, salt as per taste, 2 tsp oil, 1 tsp sugar, and mix everything well.
- Now add 2 tbsp water and mix it well.
- Now cover the batter and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Now, place a Kadhai on flame and add 2 cups of water.
- Now, place a stand in the middle of the Kadhai and boil the water with a closed lid.
- Now, take a cake tin and grease it with oil.
- After 10 minutes, check the dhokla batter, and if your dhokla batter is thick, add water to adjust the consistency.
- Now, add 1 tsp Eno fruit salt, 1 tsp water and mix well.
- Now transfer the batter to the greased tin and do not tap.
- Now, place the tin into the pan on the stand.
- Now, close the lid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, check your Dhokla by inserting a toothpick into Dhokla; if your toothpick came out clean, this means your Dhokla is cooked well.
- Now, turn off the flame and transfer the Dhokla to a plate.
- To prepare the tempering, place a small pan on the flame, add 2 tbsp oil, and heat well.
- After the hot oil, add 1 tsp mustard seeds, one pinch asafoetida, 1/2 tsp white sesame seeds, curry leaves, 3 to 4 slit green chilli, 1 tsp lemon juice, and turn off the flame.
- Now, pour the prepared tempering on the Dhokla and cut your Dhokla into pieces.
- Now your Rava dhokla is ready, you can enjoy it.
