Ingredients of Makhana Kheer 

  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped cashew – 15-20
  • Kismis – 2 tbsp
  • puffed lotus seeds/Makhane-1-1/2 cup
  • Milk – 1 liter
  • Sugar -3/4 cup
  • Crushed Cardamom – 3-4 pcs

Materials

  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 15 - 20 Chopped cashew
  • 2 tbsp Kismis 
  • 3/2 tsp puffed lotus seeds/Makhane
  • 1 liter Milk 
  • 3/4 cup Sugar 
  • 3 - 4 pcs Crushed Cardamom

Instructions

  • To make Makhana Kheer First place a pan on medium flame and add 2 tbsp of ghee to it.
  • Now add 15 cashew Nuts and fry until golden.
  • Now transfer cashew nuts to a plate.
  •  Now add 2 Tbsp of Raisins and fry on low flame.
  •  Now turn off the flame and transfer them to a plate.
  • Now in the same pan and 3/2 cups of Puffed Lotus and roast on medium flame until crisp.
  • Now turn off the flame and let them cool.
  •  Now place a pan on flame and add 1 liter of milk to it and boil until it becomes thick.
  • Now take a grinding jar and add Roasted Puffed Lotus to it and grind coarse.
  • After the Milk becomes thick then add crushed Puffed lotus to it and mix well.
  • Now add soaked saffron strands and mix well.
  •  Now boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Now add 1 tsp of Cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Now add 3/4 cup sugar and mix well.
  • Now add all dry fruits and mix well and cook until thick.
  •  Now add some chopped pistachio and mix well.
  • Now your Makana kheer is completely ready and you can enjoy it.

Makhana Kheer Recipe – Step By Step
