Ingredients of Homemade Garam Masala Recipe 

  • Pepper Corns – 2 tbsp
  • Cloves – 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon stick – 10 – 12
  • Cumin – 2 tbsp
  • Caraway – 2 tbsp
  • Black Cardamom – 5 pcs
  • green cardamom – 20 – 25
  • Mace -2 tbsp
  • Nutmeg – 2
  • Bay Leaf – 8 – 10
  • Coriander  Seeds – 1/2 cup
  • Fennel – 2 tbsp
  • Dry Mango Powder – 2 tbsp

Materials

  • 2 tbsp Pepper Corns
  • 2 tbsp Cloves 
  • 10 - 12 Cinnamon stick 
  • 2 tbsp Cumin 
  • 2 tbsp Caraway
  • 5 tbsp Black Cardamom
  • 20 - 25 green cardamom 
  • 2 tbsp Mace 
  • 2 Nutmeg 
  • 8-10 Bay Leaf 
  • 1/2 cup Coriander  Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Fennel 
  • 2 tbsp Dry Mango Powder

Instructions

  • To make Garam masala first place a pan on low medium flame.
  • Now add 2 tbsp of peppercorns, 2 tbsp of cloves, 2-star anise, 8 to 10 cinnamon sticks, 2 tbsp of cumin seeds, 2 tbsp of caraway.
  • Now add 5 pcs of black cardamom, 20 to 25 pcs of green cardamom, 2 tbsp of mace, 2 nutmegs.
  • Now roast everything for 1 minute on low flame you can sun dry everything for 1 day.
  • Now turn off the flame and transfer everything to a plate and let them cool.
  • Now again place the pan on low flame.
  •  Now add 8 to 10 bay leaf and roast until crisp.
  • Now transfer bay leaf to the plate.
  • Now the pan adds 1/2 cup of coriander seeds and roasts on low flame.
  • Now transfer into the place.
  • Now in the same pan add 2 tbsp of fennel and roast a little on low flame.
  • Now transfer it also to the plate.
  • Now take a grinding jar and add all roasted Masala to it.
  • Now add 1/2 cup of dry ginger powder, and add crushed nutmeg to the jar.
  •  Now grind everything well and prepare a fine powder.
  • Now sieve it for fine powder.
  • Now your Garam Masala is ready and you can store it for 6 months.
