For Batter 

  • Green gram/Moong Dal – 1 Cup
  • Bengal gram/Chana dal – 1/4 cup
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinch
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp

For Stuffing 

  • Paneer – 200 grams
  • Chopped Carrot – 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Capsicum – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Onion – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Green chilli – 3 to 4
  • Grated Ginger – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per Taste

Materials

For Batter

  • Green gram/Moong Dal – 1 Cup
  • Bengal gram/Chana dal – 1/4 cup
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinch
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp

For Stuffing

  • Paneer – 200 grams
  • Chopped Carrot – 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Capsicum – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Onion – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Green chilli – 3 to 4
  • Grated Ginger – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per Taste

Instructions

  • To make the Perfect Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla, take a bowl and add 1 cup of Moong dal and 1/4 cup of chana dal.
  • Now wash lentils/dal with water 2-3 times and soak it into hot water for 1/2 hour.
  • Now, take 200 grams of cheese and grate it using a medium-sized grater.
  • Now add 4 tbsp of chopped carrot, 3-4 tbsp of chopped capsicum, 3-4 tbsp of chopped onion.
  • Now add 3-4 chopped green chilli, 2 tbsp of grated ginger, 2 tbsp of finely chopped coriander and mix everything well.
  • Now add 1/2 tsp of pepper powder, salt as per taste and mix well.
  • After 1/2 hour, check your lentils/dal and drain the water.
  • Now add soaked lentils/Dal into a grinding jar, grind well and make a fine & smooth paste.
  • Now, add 1 tbsp of fine sooji in batter and mix well.
  • Now add two pinch asafoetida, salt as per taste, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder and mix everything well.
  • Now place a Tawa on medium flame, add two laddle full batters and spread in the clockwise direction.
  • Now add prepared paneer stuffing and press gently with your hands.
  • Now sprinkle little ghee on top of chilla & sides and roast until crispy.
  • Flip the chilla and roast well after the chilla turns a little crispy.
  • After 1.5 minutes, flip it again and sprinkle chaat masala on the chilla.
  • Now fold the chilla and transfer it to a plate and prepare the next chilla.

1 – To make the Perfect Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla, take a bowl and add 1 cup of Moong dal and 1/4 cup of chana dal.
