  • Fenugreek – 150 gram
  • Chenopodium/बथुआ – 250 gram
  • Chopped Garlic – 15
  • Chopped Ginger – 1.5 inch
  • Chopped Green chilli – 3 to 4
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Maize flour/Makka Atta – 1/2 cup
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped Onion – 1
  • Dried Red Chili – 2
  • Chopped Ginger – 1 tsp
  • Chopped Green Chili – 1 tsp
  • Chopped Garlic – 1 tsp
  • Chopped Tomato – 1
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 tsp
  • Dried Red Chili – 2 to 3
  • Chopped Green Chili – 3

Materials

  • Green Mustard Leaves – 2 Bunch

  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 tsp
  • Dried Red Chili – 2 to 3
  • Chopped Green Chili – 3
  • Chopped Ginger

Instructions

  • To make the perfect Sarson Ka Saag, take two bunch of Sarson, remove the stem and wash well.
  • Next step – finely chop the Sarson.
  • Next step – 200 grams of Palak, remove the stem, wash well and finely chop it.
  • Next step – take 150 grams of fenugreek, wash well and finely chop it.
  • Next step – take 250 grams of Bathu/Chenopodium/Goosefoot leaves, wash and finely chop them.
  • Next step – take a cooker and add chopped Sarson, Methi, Palak, and Bathu.
  • Next step – add 10-15 chopped garlic cloves, 1.5 inches chopped ginger, 3-4 chopped green chilli, salt as per taste, and 1 cup of water.
  • Next step – place the cooker on flame, close the lid and cook on high flame until a whistle.
  • After a whistle, turn the flame to low and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
  • After 5 minutes, turn off the flame and let the pressure release completely.
  • Next step – check the Saag Mixture and mash everything well with the help of a masher.
  • Next step – turn on the flame, add 1/2 cup of maize flour in batches and mix well.
  • After mixing well, turn off the flame and keep it aside.
  • Next step – place a Kadhai on flame, add 2 tbsp of ghee, and melt well.
  • After the ghee melts, add two chopped onions and roast well until golden.
  • After the onion turns a little golden, add two dry red chillies and mix well.
  • Next step – add 1 tsp of chopped ginger, 1 tsp of chopped garlic, and one tsp of chopped green chilli and saute well.
  • Next step – add chopped tomato and salt as per taste, 1 tsp of coriander powder, and mix well (add hot water if required).
  • After the mixture releases the oil, add prepared Saag, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Next step – place a tempering pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of ghee, and heat well.
  • After the ghee melts, add 1 tsp of asafoetida, two dry red chilli, three split green chilli, ginger Julian's, and fry a little.
  • Next step – add prepared tempering on the Sarson Ka Saag and turn off the flame.
  • Now your Perfect Sarson Ka Saag is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
