Ingredients of Sambar Masala Recipe 

  • Coriander seeds – 1/2 cup
  • Washed and dry Chana Dal – 2 tbsp
  • Washed and dry Toor Dal – 2 tbsp
  • Washed and dry Urad dal – 2 tbsp
  • Dry red chilli – 15
  • Black pepper – 1 tbsp
  • Sinnamon – 2-3 pcs
  • Curry leaves 
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek Seeds – 1/4 tbsp.
  • Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp

Materials

  • 1/2 cup Coriander seeds
  • 2 tbsp Washed and dry Chana Dal
  • 2 tbsp Washed and dry Toor Dal 
  • 2 tbsp Washed and dry Urad dal
  • 15 Dry red chilli
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper 
  • 2-3 pcs Sinnamon 
  • Curry leaves 
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida 
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  •  To make Sambar Masala, first place a pan on flame and heat on low flame.
  • Now add 1/2 cup of coriander seeds and dry roast on low flame until aromatic.
  • After roasting it, turn off the flame, transfer it to a plate, and cool it.
  • Now, into the pan, add Chan Dal, Toor Da, Urad Dal, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and dry roast everything on low flame.
  • Now, turn off the flame and transfer everything to a plate.
  • Now again, place the pan on flame and add mustard seeds, black pepper, Sinnamon stick, curry leaves and roast everything on low flame.
  • Now add 10-15 Dry red chilli and dry roast.
  • Now add asafoetida and dry roast everything on low flame.
  • Now transfer everything to a plate and let it cool.
  • Now, take a grinding jar and add all roasted ingredients to it.
  • Now, into the grinding jar, add 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
  • Now grind everything well and make a fine powder.
  • Now your Homemade sambar masala is entirely, and you can store it for one year in the fridge.

6 – Now again, place the pan on flame and add mustard seeds, black pepper, Sinnamon stick, curry leaves and roast everything on low flame.

7 – Now add 10-15 Dry red chilli and dry roast.

9 – Now transfer everything to a plate and let it cool.
10 – Now, take a grinding jar and add all roasted ingredients to it.
11 – Now, into the grinding jar, add 1 tsp of turmeric powder.

13 – Now your Homemade sambar masala is entirely, and you can store it for one year in the fridge.
