Rasam Powder Recipe | How to make Rasam Masala Powder at Home | Rasam Podi Recipe
Materials
- Coriander seeds – 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds – 2 tbsp
- Red chillies – 20 pcs
- Oil for roasting
- Urad Dal – 1 tbsp
- Methi Dana – 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp.
- Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – 1 2 tbsp
Instructions
- To make perfect Homemade Rasam Masala, first place a pan on flame, add 1/2 tsp of oil, and heat well.
- Now add 1/2 cup of coriander seeds and roast well on low flame until aromatic.
- After coriander seeds turn aromatic, turn off the flame, transfer it to a plate, and let it cool.
- Now, again, place the pan on flame, add 1/2 tsp of oil, and heat a little.
- Now add 2 tbsp of cumin seeds and roast well.
- After cumin seeds turn aromatic, turn off the flame and transfer it to a plate and let it cool.
- Now again, place the pan on flame, add 1/2 tsp of oil, and heat.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds, 1 tbsp of urad dal, and roast well.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of asafoetida and roast well until it turns golden.
- After the mix turns golden, turn off the flame and transfer it to a plate.
- Again, place the pan on flame, add 1/2 tsp of oil, and heat well.
- Now add dry red chillies, curry leaves, and roast well.
- Now turn off the flame and transfer roasted chillies, curry leaves to a plate, and let them cool.
- Now, take a grinding jar and add all roasted ingredients.
- Now grind everything well and make a fine powder.
- Now your Homemade Rasam Masala is ready, and you can store it for one year into an air-tight Jar.
