Ingredients of Ragi Ladoo Recipe

  • Ragi flour – 1 cup
  • Clarified Butter/Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Peanut – 1/4 cup
  • Desiccated Cococnut – 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder -1/4 tsp
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Water – 1/4 cup
  • Chopped Pistachio – 1 tbsp

Materials

  • Ragi flour – 1 cup
  • Clarified Butter/Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Peanut – 1/4 cup
  • Desiccated Cococnut – 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder -1/4 tsp
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Water – 1/4 cup
  • Chopped Pistachio – 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • To make perfect Ragi Ladoo, first place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of ghee and melt well.
  • After ghee melts, add 1 cup of Ragi Flour/Finger Millet and roast well on low flame.
  • After Ragi Flour turns aromatic & change the colour, turn off the flame and transfer the flour to a plate.
  • Now, again, place the pan on flame, add 1/4 cup of peanuts and roast well.
  • After peanuts turn golden, transfer them to a kitchen towel and let them cool.
  • Now rub & remove the peen and sieve the peel.
  • Now, take a grinding jar, add roasted peanuts, and make a coarse powder.
  • Now transfer the peanut powder into roasted Ragi Flour.
  • Now add 1/4 cup of desiccated coconut, 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, 1/4 tsp of crushed nutmeg and mix everything well.
  • Now place the pan on medium flame, add 1 cup of crushed jaggery, 1/4 cup of water and melt the jaggery.
  • After jaggery syrup starts boiling, check the syrup with your finger; if it feels sticky, this means syrup consistency is perfect.
  • Now turn off the flame and let it be a little cool.
  • Now, little by little, add jaggery syrup into Ragi Ladoo mix and mix well.
  • Now add 1 tbsp of chopped pistachio and mix well.
  • Now, take a small portion of the mix and prepare Ladoo with it(make sure you prepare Ladoo when the mixture is warm).
  • Now, prepare Ragi Ladoo with the remaining mix.
  • Now your Ragi Ladoo is completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
