Ingredients of Poha Vada Recipe 

  • Poha / Flatten Rice – 1 cup
  • Green Chilly – 2
  • Ginger – 1-inch
  • Garlic – 8 cloves
  • Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves
  • Pepper Corns – 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinch
  • Roasted Peanuts – 1 tbsp
  • Finely Chopped Onion – 1
  • Chopped Palak – 1 cup
  • Red Chilli Flakes – 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Finely Chopped Coriander
  • Gram Flour – 1/2 cup
  • Hot Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Oil for deep fry

For Chutney 

  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Channa Dal – 1/4 cup
  • Peanuts – 3 tbsp
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinch
  • Ginger – 1-inch
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Curry Leaves
  • Red Chillies – 3
  • Sesame Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
  • Water – 2 tbsp

Materials

  • 1 cup Poha / Flatten Rice
  • 2 Green Chilly 
  • 1 inch Ginger 
  • 8 cloves Garlic 
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds 
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper Corns
  • 2 pinch Asafoetida 
  • 1 tbsp Roasted Peanuts 
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion 
  • 1 cup Chopped Palak
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes 
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt as per taste
  • Finely Chopped Coriander
  • 1/2 cup Gram Flour .
  • 1 tsp Hot Oil 
  • Oil for deep fry

For Chutney 

  • 1 tsp Oil 
  • 1/4 cup Channa Dal
  • 3 tbsp Peanuts 
  • 2 pinch Asafoetida 
  • 1 inch Ginger 
  • 6 cloves Garlic 
  • 2 Green Chilli 
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Water 

Instructions

  • To make crispy and tasty Poha vada, first take one cup of Poha/flatten rice.
  •  Now, take a bowl and place a strainer on it.
  • Now transfer the Poha to the strainer and wash it well with water 2-3 times.
  • Now, soak the Poha in water for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now, take a grinding jar and add two chopped chilli, 1 inch of ginger, eight garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, curry leaves, 1/4 tsp of peppercorn.
  •  Now grind everything coarse and make a paste.
  •  After 2-3 minutes, check the Poha and transfer it into a bowl.
  • Now add prepared masala mix into Poha.
  • Now add two pinches of asafoetida, 1 tbsp of coarse roasted peanuts, one roughly chopped onion, 1 cup of chopped spinach.
  • Now add 1 tsp of red chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, salt per taste, finely chopped coriander, 1/2 cup of grams flour as required.
  •  Now add 1 tbsp of hot oil, mix everything well with your hands, and prepare the mix.
  • Now, grease your hands and prepare small vada with the mix.
  • Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for shallow fry and heat well.
  • Now, one by one, add prepared vada into the pan and fry well on medium flame.
  •  After vada turns golden and crisp, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
  • Now your crispy and testy Poha vada are ready, and you can enjoy them.

Chutney Recipe

  •  First, place a pan on flame and add 1 tbsp of oil and heat.
  • After the oil is hot to add 1/4 cup of chana dal and roast well.
  •  After Chana dal turns a little golden, add 3 tbsp of peanuts, mix well, and roast.
  •  After some time, add two pinches of asafoetida, 1 inch of ginger, six garlic cloves, two green chilli, curry leaves, and three dry red chillies and roast everything well.
  •  In the last, add 1 tsp of sesame seeds and mix well.
  •  After everything roasted well, turn off the flame and let it cool.
  • Now, take a grinding jar and add chutney, salt as per taste, 1/4 cup of water, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and grind everything well.
  • Now transfer the chutney to a bowl, and for Tadka, place a pan on flame and add 1 tsp oil, and heat well.
  • Now add After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, some curry leaves, and turn off the flame.
  • Now add prepared Tadka to the chutney, and your chutney is completely ready, and you can enjoy it with Poha Vada.

Poha Vada Recipe – Step By Step

1 – To make crispy and tasty Poha vada, first take one cup of Poha/flatten rice.
2 – Now, take a bowl and place a strainer on it.

3 – Now transfer the Poha to the strainer and wash it well with water 2-3 times.

7 – After 2-3 minutes, check the Poha and transfer it into a bowl.
8 – Now add prepared masala mix into Poha.
9 – Now add two pinches of asafoetida, 1 tbsp of coarse roasted peanuts, one roughly chopped onion, 1 cup of chopped spinach.

10 – Now add 1 tsp of red chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, salt per taste, finely chopped coriander, 1/2 cup of grams flour as required.
11 – Now add 1 tbsp of hot oil, mix everything well with your hands, and prepare the mix.

12 – Now, grease your hands and prepare small vada with the mix.

13 – Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for shallow fry and heat well.
14 – Now, one by one, add prepared vada into the pan and fry well on medium flame.

15 – After vada turns golden and crisp, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
16 – Now your crispy and testy Poha vada are ready, and you can enjoy them.

Chutney Recipe

6 – After everything roasted well, turn off the flame and let it cool.
7 – Now, take a grinding jar and add chutney, salt as per taste, 1/4 cup of water, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and grind everything well.

8 – Now transfer the chutney to a bowl, and for Tadka, place a pan on flame and add 1 tsp oil, and heat well.
9 – Now add After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, some curry leaves, and turn off the flame.
10 – Now add prepared Tadka to the chutney, and your chutney is completely ready, and you can enjoy it with Poha Vada.
