Poha Vada Recipe | How to make Poha Vada at Home | Easy Breakfast Recipe
Materials
- 1 cup Poha / Flatten Rice
- 2 Green Chilly
- 1 inch Ginger
- 8 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Curry Leaves
- 1/4 tsp Pepper Corns
- 2 pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tbsp Roasted Peanuts
- 1 Finely Chopped Onion
- 1 cup Chopped Palak
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- Salt as per taste
- Finely Chopped Coriander
- 1/2 cup Gram Flour .
- 1 tsp Hot Oil
- Oil for deep fry
For Chutney
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/4 cup Channa Dal
- 3 tbsp Peanuts
- 2 pinch Asafoetida
- 1 inch Ginger
- 6 cloves Garlic
- 2 Green Chilli
- Curry Leaves
- 3 Red Chillies
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
- To make crispy and tasty Poha vada, first take one cup of Poha/flatten rice.
- Now, take a bowl and place a strainer on it.
- Now transfer the Poha to the strainer and wash it well with water 2-3 times.
- Now, soak the Poha in water for 2-3 minutes.
- Now, take a grinding jar and add two chopped chilli, 1 inch of ginger, eight garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, curry leaves, 1/4 tsp of peppercorn.
- Now grind everything coarse and make a paste.
- After 2-3 minutes, check the Poha and transfer it into a bowl.
- Now add prepared masala mix into Poha.
- Now add two pinches of asafoetida, 1 tbsp of coarse roasted peanuts, one roughly chopped onion, 1 cup of chopped spinach.
- Now add 1 tsp of red chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, salt per taste, finely chopped coriander, 1/2 cup of grams flour as required.
- Now add 1 tbsp of hot oil, mix everything well with your hands, and prepare the mix.
- Now, grease your hands and prepare small vada with the mix.
- Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for shallow fry and heat well.
- Now, one by one, add prepared vada into the pan and fry well on medium flame.
- After vada turns golden and crisp, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
- Now your crispy and testy Poha vada are ready, and you can enjoy them.
Chutney Recipe
- First, place a pan on flame and add 1 tbsp of oil and heat.
- After the oil is hot to add 1/4 cup of chana dal and roast well.
- After Chana dal turns a little golden, add 3 tbsp of peanuts, mix well, and roast.
- After some time, add two pinches of asafoetida, 1 inch of ginger, six garlic cloves, two green chilli, curry leaves, and three dry red chillies and roast everything well.
- In the last, add 1 tsp of sesame seeds and mix well.
- After everything roasted well, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Now, take a grinding jar and add chutney, salt as per taste, 1/4 cup of water, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and grind everything well.
- Now transfer the chutney to a bowl, and for Tadka, place a pan on flame and add 1 tsp oil, and heat well.
- Now add After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, some curry leaves, and turn off the flame.
- Now add prepared Tadka to the chutney, and your chutney is completely ready, and you can enjoy it with Poha Vada.

Poha Vada Recipe – Step By Step
