Materials
- 1 cup Rice
- 1 cup Moong Dal
- 1 tbsp. Ghee
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 Chopped Carrot
- 10 Chopped Beans
- 2 Chopped Potato
- Green Peas
- 6 cup Water
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp. Turmeric Powder
- 2 tbsp. Ghee/Oil
- 1 tbsp. Mustard Seeds
- 1 tbsp. Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tbsp. Asafetida
- 1 tbsp. Chopped Onion
- 2 tbsp. Grated Ginger
- 1 tbsp. Chopped Garlic
- Curry leaves
- 3 Green Chills
- 3 Red Chills
- 2 Chopped Tomato
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tbsp. Red Chili Powder
- 1/2 tbsp. Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp. Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp. Garam Masala
Instructions
- To make Perfect Mix Veg Masala Dal Khichdi, first take a bowl and add 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of moong dal.
- Now wash them with water 2-3 times and soak them in the water for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, remove the excess water and keep it aside.
- Now, place a cooker on medium flame, add 1 tbsp of ghee, and melt.
- After ghee is hot, add one bay leaf, one chopped carrot, ten chopped beans, two chopped potatoes, and stir fry.
- After 1 minute, add the soaked rice-dal mixture and mix well.
- Now add 1/2 cup of green peas and mix well.
- Now add 6 cups of water, salt as per taste,1 tsp of turmeric powder, and mix everything well.
- Now, close the lid and cook until four whistles.
- After the four whistles, turn off the flame and let the pressure release.
- After pressure release completely, remove the lid, chick your Khichdi, remove the bay leaf, and keep the khichdi aside.
- Now, to prepare Tadka first, place a pan on flame, add 2 tbsp of ghee, and melt.
- After ghee melts, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, one chopped onion, and stir fry.
- After some time, add 2 tsp of grated ginger, 1 tsp of chopped garlic, curry leaves, and mix well.
- Now add three chopped chilli, three dry red chilies, two chopped tomatoes, salt as per taste and mix well and cook.
- After tomatoes turn mashy, add 2 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of garam masala, mix everything well, and cook until its start releasing the ghee.
- After the mix starts releasing the ghee, add cooked khichdi into the pan, mix well(add hot water if required to adjust the consistency), and cook for 1 minute.
- After 1 minute, turn off the flame and garnish it with chopped coriander.
- Now your Masala Mix veg Khichdi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
