Mirchi Gravy Recipe | How to make Mirchi Ka Salan at Home | Mirchi Ka Salan Recipe
Materials
- 4 tbsp Peanuts
- 2 tbsp Desiccated Coconut
- 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds/Til
- 2 tsp Oil
- 2 Chopped Onions
- 2 Green chillies
- 1 tsp Grated Ginger
- 1 tsp Grated Garlic
- Green chillies
- 4 Tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Water
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Kalonji/Nigella Seeds
- Curry Leaves
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 2 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tbsp Tamarind Water
- Finely Chopped Coriander
Instructions
- To make perfect Mirchi Ka Salan/Mirchi Gravy, first place a pan, add 4 tbsp of peanuts, and roast well.
- After peanuts turn little golden, add 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut, 2 tbsp of sesame seeds and roast well.
- After coconut turns golden, turn off the flame and transfer the mix to a plate.
- Now add 2 tsp of oil into the pan and heat well.
- After the hot oil, add two roughly chopped onions and roast well on medium flame until soft.
- After some seconds, add two chopped green chilli, 1 inch grated ginger, 1 tsp of grated garlic, and roast everything well.
- After the onion turns soft, turn off the flame, transfer the mix to the same plate and let it cool.
- Now take 10-12 thick green chilli and cut into between of all chillies(do not cut until the end).
- Now, take four medium-sized tomatoes and cut them into four pieces.
- Now, take a grinding jar, add a cooled mix, 1/2 cup of water, and make a fine paste.
- Now turn on the flame, add 4 tbsp of oil into the pan, and heat well.
- After the hot oil, add slit chilies into the oil and roast a little.
- Transfer the chilies to a plate after the chilli turns a little white.
- Into the same oil, add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 12 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp of Nigella seeds/Kalonji, ten curry leaves, and saute.
- After some seconds, add 1 tsp of red chilli powder, two pinch turmeric powder, and saute well.
- After roasting the masala, add gravy paste and cook on low flame until it releases the oil.
- After the gravy starts releasing the oil, add 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1./2 tsp of garam masala, salt as per taste and mix everything well.
- When gravy mix turns a little golden, add 2 tbsp of turmeric water, mix well, and roast.
- After 2 minutes, add 1/2 cup of water, mix well and cook.
- After 3-4 minutes, add chopped tomatoes, fried green chillies, and mix well.
- Now, close the lid and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes.
- After 3-4 minutes, remove the lid, garnish it with chopped coriander and turn off the flame.
- Now your Perfect Mirchi Ka Salan is ready, and you can enjoy it.
