  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
  • Dried Mango Powder – 1 tsp
  • Chopped Onion – 1
  • Gram flour – 3/4 cup
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Oil – 1 tsp

Materials

  • Chopped Green Chili – 3 to 4
  • Garlic – 6 to 7 piece
  • Ginger – 1.5 inch
  • Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
  • Coriander Seed – 1 tbsp
  • Rice Flakes – 1 cup
  • Fenugreek – 2 cups
  • Sesame seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
  • Dried Mango Powder – 1 tsp
  • Chopped Onion – 1
  • Gram flour – 3/4 cup
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Oil – 1 tsp

Instructions

  • To make the perfect and most tasty Methi Vada, take a grinding jar, add 2-3 green chilli, 6-7 garlic cloves, and 1.5 inches of ginger.
  • Next step – add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tbsp of coriander seeds, grind on the pulse and make a coarse paste.
  • Next step – take 1 cup of Poha/Chiwda and wash it 2-3 times.
  • Next step – transfer the clean Poha into a big plate and gently mash with hands.
  • Next step – take 2 cups of Methi, wash and dry it and crush the Methi with your hands.
  • Next step – add crushed Methi into washed Poha bowl.
  • Next step – add 1 tbsp of sesame seeds, chopped coriander, prepared Masala, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1 tsp of dry mango powder.
  • Next step – add one chopped onion, and mix everything well.
  • Next step – add 3/4 cup of gram flour in batches(as required) and mix well.
  • Next step – add salt as per taste, 1 tsp of oil, and prepare a soft dough.
  • Next step – prepare small Vada with the prepared Dough.
  • Next step – place a pan on flame, add oil for shallow fry, and heat well.
  • After the oil is medium hot, add prepared Vada into the oil and fry well.
  • After some time, flip all vada and roast well until golden & crispy.
  • After the Methi Vada turns are golden & crispy, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
