Materials

  • Sabudana/Tapioca – 100 gms
  • Boiled Potatoes – 4
  • Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Red chilli Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Maggie Masala – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  •  To make market-style Kurkure, first take 100 grams of Sabudana/Tapioca.
  • Now, take a grinding jar, add Sabudana into it, grind well, and make a coarse powder.
  • Now, take 4 boiled and cooled potatoes and grate well with the help of a grater.
  • Now, into the grated potato, add Sabudana powder.
  • Now add 1/2 tsp of pepper powder, salt as per taste, 1/4 tsp of red chilli powder, 1 tsp of Maggi masala(optional).
  • Now add 1 tsp of oil and mix everything well and prepare a semi-soft dough.
  • Now, let it set for 15 minutes.
  • Now, take a Murukku Maker/Sev maker and grease it with oil.
  • After 15 minutes, check the dough.
  • Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for deep frying and heat well.
  • Now, fill the dough into the Murukku maker and close the lid.
  • After the oil is medium hot, prepare and add Kurkure into the oil with murukku maker and fry well.
  • After Kurkure turns little golden, flip and fries well on all sides until golden and crispy.
  • After Kurkure turns golden, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
  • Now your crispy and testy Kurkure is completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
