Materials
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1 cup Maida/All Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cup Water
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
- Saffron Strands
- 2 tbsp Milk Powder
Instructions
- To make the confectionery style saffron barfi, first of all, you put a pan on the gas and add 1/4 cup ghee and flame to it.
- Once the ghee is hot, just add a cup of Maida to it and stir it well and roast it for 2 minutes.
- Turn off the gas now and keep the pan aside.
- Now stir another pan on the gas and add one cup sugar and 3/4 cup water in it and stir it well.
- Now take a tray and apply some ghee on its surface to make it smooth.
- When the sugar dissolves well, then add 1/4 tbsp. Cardamom powder, and add some saffron strands.
- now boil it until ½ string consistency.
- Now turn the gas off and add it to the roasted Maida and mix it well.
- Now put in 2 tbsp. Milk powder and mix it well.
- Now add saffron milk (mix some saffron with milk) and mix it well.
- Now when they start leaving the pan, turn off the gas.
- Now take out the barfi mixture in the tray and set it well.
- Now let it sat for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Your barfi has jammed well and you can cut it now.
- Now if you want to decorate it, you can use dry fruits.
