Kesar Barfi Recipe | How to make Saffron Barfi at Home | All Purpose Flour Burfi Recipe
Materials
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1 cup Maida/All Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cup Water
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
- Saffron Strands
- 2 tbsp Milk Powder
Instructions
- To make the perfect Kesar Barfi, place a pan on flame, add 1/4 cup of ghee and melt.
- After ghee melts, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, and roast well for 2 minutes.
- After 2 minutes, turn off the flame and keep the pan aside.
- Now place another pan on flame, add 1 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of water and melt the sugar.
- While preparing the sugar syrup, take a tray and grease it with ghee.
- After sugar melts, add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder, pinch saffron strands and cook until the sugar syrup turns sticky & 1/2 string consistency.
- When the sugar syrup is close to 1/2 string consistency, turn off the flame.
- Now, little by little, add roasted all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp of milk and mix everything well.
- Now turn on the flame, add 2 tbsp of saffron milk, mix well and cook on low flame until mixture leaves the pan.
- After the mix turns thick & leaves the pan, turn off the flame.
- Now transfer the barfi mix into a greased tray, spread well, and let it set.
- After some time, check the barfi and cut it into pieces.
- Now garnish the barfi with almonds & pistachio.
- Now your Perfect Kesar Barfi is ready, and you can enjoy it.
