Materials

  • Jaggery – 250 gram
  • Water – 2 cup
  • Rice flour – 1.5 cup
  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Desiccated Cococnut – 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – 2 pinch

Instructions

  • To make Perfect Gur Pitha, place a pan on flame.
  • Now add 250 grams of jaggery, 400 ML of water, and melt it.
  • After jaggery melts, cook until it starts boiling.
  • After a boil, turn off the flame and let it cool(if your jaggery has impurities, then filter it).
  • Now, take a bowl, add 1.5 cups of rice flour, 1 cup of wheat flour, 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut, 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, two pinches of salt, and mix everything well.
  • Now, little by little, add jaggery syrup, mix well, and make a medium-thick batter.
  • Now, let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, check the batter and whisk well.
  • Now, place a pan on flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
  • When oil is medium hot, gently add one spoon of batter into the pan.
  • After some flip, the Pitha and fry well.
  • After your Pitha turns golden and crispy, transfer it to a plate and fry the next Gur Pitha.
  • Now your Perfect Gur Pitha is ready, and you can enjoy it.
