Easy Gujiya Recipe | How to make Gujiya at Home | Mawa Gujiya Recipe
Materials
- 2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 2 pinch Salt
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- Warm Water as required
- 4 tbsp Semolina
- 200 gms Mawa
- 2 tbsp Desicated Coconut
- 2 tbsp Finely chopped cashew
- 2 tbsp Finely chopped almonds
- 1 tbsp Finely chopped Pista
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- 1/2 tbsp Cardamom powder
- 85 gms sugar Powder
- cooking oil for deep fry
Instructions
- To make Gujiya, first of all, take a wide bowl and add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 pinch salt, 1/4 cup ghee and mix everything well.
- Now add water (warm water) to it and prepare a hard dough.
- Now dust the dough with a wet cloth and keep it for 20 minutes.
- Now put a pan on the gas and heat it.
- After the pan is hot, add 4 tbsp of semolina and fry till it becomes golden.
- Now take out the semolina on a plate.
- Now you add 200 grams of mawa to the pan and cook it till it turns golden.
- Now take out the mawa in a bowl and let it cool.
- After the Mawa cool add roasted semolina to the bowl, add 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut, 2 tbsp of finely chopped cashew, 2 tbsp of finely chopped almonds, 1 tbsp of pistachio, 1 tbsp of raisins, and mix everything well.
- Now add 1/2 tbsp of cardamom powder, 1 cup of sugar powder, and mix everything well.
- Now Gujiya stuffing is ready.
- Now take the small size dough and make small balls frow all dough.
- Now you dust the dough with a wet cloth.
- Now roll to a slightly thick poori and cover it with a dry cloth.
- Now take any type of gujiya Mould and place the prepared poori on the mold.
- Now grease all sides with water and add 1 tbsp of filling in it.
- Now close the mold and press all sides and remove excess dough.
- Now cover the gujiya with a cloth.
- Second way to make Gujiye – place prepared poori on a platform and grees on edges with water.
- Now add 1 tbsp of filling to it and close with the other end and press edges and Cut edges with a cutter.
- Now cover the gujiya with a cloth and follow the same process with other dough and make all gujiya.
- Now place a kadhai on gas and add oil for deep frying and heat it on medium flame.
- Now close the mold and press all sides and remove excess dough.
- After the oil is heated add gujiya in it and fry until it became golden.
- Once the Gujia is fried, take them out on a plate.
- Now your delicious Gujiya is ready and you can enjoy them.

Gujiya Recipe – Step By Step
1 – To make Perfect Gujiya, first take a bowl and add 2 cups of all-purpose flour.

3 – Now, little by little, add warm water as required, mix well and prepare a stiff dough.
4 – Now, cover the wet dough with a cloth and let it set for 20 minutes.
5 – Now place a pan on flame, add 4 tbsp of semolina, and roast well until golden.
6 – After semolina turns a little golden, transfer it to a plate.
7 – Now add 200 grams of crushed Mawa and roast well until golden.
8 – After the Mawa color change, transfer it to a bowl and cool.
9 – Now into Mawa, add roasted semolina, 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut, 2 tbsp of finely chopped cashew, 2 tbsp of almonds, 1 tbsp of chopped pistachio, 1 tbsp of raisins.
10 – Now add 1/2 cardamom powder, and mix everything well.
11 – Now add 85 grams of sugar powder, mix well, and your Mawa stuffing is ready.
12 – Now, check the dough and knead well one more time.
13 – Now, one by one, prepare small balls with the dough and cover all the balls with the wet cloth.
14 – Now, take a ball and roll it like a slightly thick Poori.
15 – Now, take a Gujiya mould and place the prepared poori on the mould.
16 – Now grease the edges with water and add 1 tbsp of filling into Gujiya.
17 – Now, close the mould, prepare the Gujiya and remove the excess dough.
18 – One by one, prepare the Gujiya with the remaining dough and stuffing.
19 – Second Method – To make Gujiya with the second method, take a rolled poori, grease the edges with water, and add 1 tbsp of stuffing to it.
20 – Now, close the Gujiya with the other end and press on the edges with the help of a fork.
21 – Now place a pan on flame, add oil for deep fry, and heat well.
22 – After the oil is hot, one by one, add prepared Gujiya into hot oil and fry well.
23 – After some time, flip the Gujiya and fry well on both sides until golden and crispy.
24 – Now transfer the Gujiya to a plate and fry the next batch.
25 – Now your perfect & crispy Gujiya is ready, and you can enjoy them.
