Custard Cake Recipe | How to make Custard Cake at Home | Britannia cake recipe
Materials
- All-Purpose Flour – 1.5 cup
- Custard Powder – 1/4 cup
- Baking Powder – 1 tsp
- Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
- Sugar Powder – 1/2 Cup
- Olive Oil/Cooking Oil – 1/2 cup
- Warm Milk – 1 cup
- Milk Malai – 2 tbsp
- Tutti Fruiti – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- To make the Perfect Custard Cake, take a bowl and place a strainer on it.
- Now add 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of custard powder, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp of baking soda, and sieve all ingredients into the bowl.
- Now, place a kadhai on flame and put a lid into it.
- Now, close the lid and preheat for 10 minutes.
- Now, take another bowl and add 1/2 cup of sugar powder, 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil, and mix well with a whisker for 3-4 minutes.
- Now, take a bowl and add 1 cup of warm milk, 2 tbsp of milk Malai, and mix well with a whisker.
- Now add the milk-malai mixture into the oil-Sugar powder mixture and mix well.
- Now, take a cake tin and grease it with oil and dust with all-purpose flour on all sides of the container.
- Now, take 2 tbsp of tutti frutti, add 1/2 tsp of all-purpose flour, and coat well.
- Now take the dry all-purpose mix and, little by little, add oil mixture, gently mix well, and prepare a ribbon consistency batter.
- Now add tutti frutti and mix well you can also add chopped dry fruits.
- Now transfer the cake mix into greased tray and tap to remove the bubbles.
- After 10 minutes, check the kadhai and place the cake tin on the stand into the kadhai.
- Now close the lid and bake on a medium flame for 2 minutes; after 2 minutes, turn the flame to low and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- After 30-35 minutes, with the help of a knife or toothpick, if it is clean, the cake is cooked perfectly; if the toothpick is not clean, then cook the cake for more than 5 minutes.
- Now turn off the flame and let the cook cool.
- Now saperate edges from the tin and transfer the cake to a platform or plate.
- Now, cut the cake into pieces.
