Chana Dal Peda Recipe | How to make Chana Dal Peda | Chana Dal Halwa Peda Recipe
Materials
- Bengal gram/Chana dal – 1 cup
- Milk – 3 cup
- Cardamom
- Cinnamon Stick/Dalchini
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect Chana Dal Peda, take 1 cup of Bengal Gram/Chana Dal and soak it in water for 4-5 hours.
- After 4-5 hours, drain the water completely.
- Next step – place a Kadhai on flame, add soaked Chana Dal & 3 cups of milk and cook on medium flame.
- After the milk turns thick, add two cardamoms, and one cinnamon stick and cook until Chana Dal turns soft.
- After the Chana dal turns soft, remove the cinnamon stick & cardamoms and turn off the flame.
- After the Mixture turns cool, add it into a grinding jar and make a smooth paste(add milk if required).
- Next step – place a heavy-based pan on flame, add Chana Dal paste & 1 cup of sugar to it and cook on low flame until sugar melts.
- After the sugar melts, stir continuously and cook until the mixture starts leaving the pan.
- After the mixture turns thick, add 1 tbsp of ghee, mix well and cook.
- After the mixture starts leaving the pan, turn off the flame.
- Next step – transfer the mixture to a plate and let it a little cool.
- Next step – take a small portion of dough, prepare a ball and prepare Peda using a Peda Maker.
- Next step – garnish the Peda with pistachio and prepare Peda with the remaining mixture.
