Materials

  • Gram flour – 1 Bowl
  • Clarified Butter – 1/2 Bowl
  • Semolina – 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom – 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed Jaggery – 1/2 cup
  • Pistachio (Dry Fruits For Garnishing)

Instructions

  • To make the perfect Besan Gud Barfi, place a Kadhai on a low flame, add 1 cup of gram flour, and roast for 5 minutes (stir continuously).
  • After 5 minutes, add 1/2 bowl of ghee and roast well until the besan turns a little dark.
  • After the besan turns a little dark, add two tablespoons of semolina and roast a little more.
  • Take a plate and grease it with ghee.
  • After the besan turns shiny, turn off the flame, add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder, and mix well.
  • Transfer the Kadhai to a platform and stir continuously for 1 minute.
  • After a minute, add 1/2 cup of crushed jaggery and mix well.
  • Transfer the Barfi mixture to the greased plate and spread well.
  • Garnish the barfi with chopped pistachios or other dry fruits.
  • Add cut marks to the barfi and let it rest for 1/2 hour.
  • After 1/2 hour, check the barfi and garnish it with a silver leaf (optional).
  • Now your perfect Besan Gud Barfi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
