Materials
- Gram flour – 1 Bowl
- Clarified Butter – 1/2 Bowl
- Semolina – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom – 1/2 tsp
- Crushed Jaggery – 1/2 cup
- Pistachio (Dry Fruits For Garnishing)
Instructions
- To make the perfect Besan Gud Barfi, place a Kadhai on a low flame, add 1 cup of gram flour, and roast for 5 minutes (stir continuously).
- After 5 minutes, add 1/2 bowl of ghee and roast well until the besan turns a little dark.
- After the besan turns a little dark, add two tablespoons of semolina and roast a little more.
- Take a plate and grease it with ghee.
- After the besan turns shiny, turn off the flame, add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder, and mix well.
- Transfer the Kadhai to a platform and stir continuously for 1 minute.
- After a minute, add 1/2 cup of crushed jaggery and mix well.
- Transfer the Barfi mixture to the greased plate and spread well.
- Garnish the barfi with chopped pistachios or other dry fruits.
- Add cut marks to the barfi and let it rest for 1/2 hour.
- After 1/2 hour, check the barfi and garnish it with a silver leaf (optional).
- Now your perfect Besan Gud Barfi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
