Materials
- Rice flour – 2 cup
- Grated Carrot – 1
- Chopped Onion – 2
- Grated Cucumber – 1
- Chopped Green Chili – 2 to 3
- Chopped Coriander
- Dill Leaves
- Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
- Carom Seed – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Curd – 4 tbsp
- Water
- Oil
Ingredients of Tomato Chutney
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Peanut – 2 tbsp
- Chopped Tomato – 1
- Green Chilli – 2 to 3
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Garlic
- Turmeric Powder – 2 pinch
- Salt as per Taste
- Tamarind Paste – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Mustard – 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Black gram/Urad dal
- Dried Red Chili – 1
Instructions
- To make the amazing Akki Roti, take a bowl and add two cups of rice flour.
- Now add one grated carrot, two small, finely chopped onions, one grated cucumber, 2-3 chopped green chilies, and dill leaves (soha).
- Now add one teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon of carom seeds, and one teaspoon of salt, and mix everything well.
- Now add four tablespoons of water and mix everything well.
- Now add warm water in batches and prepare a soft dough.
- Place a piece of butter paper on a platform and grease it with oil.
- Now take a small portion of dough and place it on the butter paper.
- Now place another piece of butter paper on the dough, press it with your hands, and flatten it.
- Place a tawa on the flame, grease it with oil, and heat well.
- Gently place the prepared roti and roast for 30–40 seconds.
- After 30–40 seconds, apply the oil on top and flip the roti.
- After a few seconds, add oil on top and roast until golden.
- After the roti turns golden, transfer it to a plate and roast the next roti.
Tomato Chutney Recipe
- To make the perfect tomato chutney, place a pan on a flame, add one tablespoon of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add two tablespoons of peanuts and roast well.
- After a few seconds, add one chopped tomato, 2-3 green chilies, one inch of ginger, and 7-8 garlic cloves, and roast well.
- After a few seconds, add two pinches of turmeric powder, salt as per taste, two pinches of asafoetida, and one teaspoon of tamarind paste, and mix everything well.
- Now turn off the flame, add the chutney mix into a grinding jar, and make a fine paste.
- Now place a tempering pan on flame, add one teaspoon of oil, and heat well.
- After the hot oil, add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, curry leaves, black gram, and one dry red chili and mix well.
- Now turn off the flame and pour the tempering on the chutney.
