Gur Pitha Recipe | How to make Gur Pitha at Home | Jaggery Pitha Recipe
Materials
- Jaggery – 250 gram
- Water – 2 cup
- Rice flour – 1.5 cup
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Desiccated Cococnut – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 2 pinch
Instructions
- To make Perfect Gur Pitha, place a pan on flame.
- Now add 250 grams of jaggery, 400 ML of water, and melt it.
- After jaggery melts, cook until it starts boiling.
- After a boil, turn off the flame and let it cool(if your jaggery has impurities, then filter it).
- Now, take a bowl, add 1.5 cups of rice flour, 1 cup of wheat flour, 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut, 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, two pinches of salt, and mix everything well.
- Now, little by little, add jaggery syrup, mix well, and make a medium-thick batter.
- Now, let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, check the batter and whisk well.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
- When oil is medium hot, gently add one spoon of batter into the pan.
- After some flip, the Pitha and fry well.
- After your Pitha turns golden and crispy, transfer it to a plate and fry the next Gur Pitha.
- Now your Perfect Gur Pitha is ready, and you can enjoy it.
