Materials
- Boiled Potatoes – 5
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Grated ginger – 2 tsp
- Green chilli paste – 2 tsp
- Pepper powder – 3/2 tsp
- Rock salt as per taste
- Roasted peanut powder – 1 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Chopped coriander
- Chestnut flour – 1 cup
- Oil for frying
For Vrat Chutney
- Coriander leaves
- Chopped green chilli – 2-3
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Grated ginger – 1 tsp
- Curd – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Rock salt – 1 tsp
- Water – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- To make the amazing Vrat Aloo Bonda, take five boiled potatoes and gently mash them with your hand.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 1 tsp of ghee, and melt.
- After the ghee melts, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of grated ginger, 1 tsp of green chilli paste, and 1 tsp of pepper powder, and roast a little.
- Next step – add mashed potatoes and mix everything well.
- Next step – add rock salt as per taste, 1 tsp of roasted peanut powder, mix and roast well.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of lemon juice, chopped coriander, and mix well.
- Next step – turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Next step – take a bowl, add 1 cup of chestnut flour, 1 tsp of green chilli paste, 1 tsp of grated ginger, rock salt per taste, 1/2 tsp of pepper powder, and mix well.
- Next step – little by little, add water and make a smooth medium consistency-batter.
- Next step – check the Bonda mix and prepare small balls with it.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
- Next step – take a Potato Ball, dip it into the prepared batter, and coat well.
- Next step – one by one, drop coated bonds into hot oil and fry well until golden.
- After the Aloo Bonda turns golden & crispy, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
- To cook your aloo Bonda without oil, place an Appe pan on flame and grease it with little oil.
- Next step – one by one, dip Aloo Bonda balls into the batter and keep them in Appe pan.
- Next step – roast your Aloo Bonda until they turn golden & crispy.

- To make the amazing Vrat Chutney, take a grinding jar, and add a handful of coriander leaves.
- Next step – add 2-3 chopped green chilli, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of grated ginger, and 1 tbsp of curd.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of lemon juice, 1 tsp of rock salt, and 2 tbsp of water.
- Next step – grind everything well and make a fine paste.
