Restaurant Style Upma Recipe | Suji Ka Upma Kaise Banate Hain | Hotel Style Upma Recipe
Materials
- Semolina – 1 cup
- Ghee -1 tsp
- Cumin Seed/Jeera – 1/2 tsp
- Ghee – 3 tbsp
- Peanut -3 tbsp
- Chopped Cashew nut
- Mustard Seed – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram/Chana dal – 2 tbsp
- Black gram/Urad dal – 2 tbsp
- Chopped Green Chili -3
- Chopped Ginger – 1 Inch
- Curry Leaves
- Chopped Onion – 1
- Chopped Carrot – 1/4 cup
- Green Peas -3 tbsp
- Water – 3
- CupSalt as per Taste
- Lemon Juice
- Cashew nut
- Chopped Coriander
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect Upma, place a kadhai on flame, add 1 tsp of ghee and melt.
- After ghee melts, add 1 cup of semolina, roast a little, and stir continuously.
- After some seconds, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds and roast well on low flame.
- After semolina turns aromatic, transfer it to a plate and let it cool.
- Now, again, place the kadhai on flame, add 3 tbsp of ghee and melt.
- After ghee melts, add 2 tbsp of peanuts and 1 tbsp of cashew and saute until golden.
- Now, transfer the roasted peanuts and cashew to a plate and keep them aside.
- Now add 1 tbsp of mustard seeds, 2 tbsp of Bengal gram,2 tbsp of black gram and saute well for 30 seconds.
- Now add 3-4 finely chopped green chilli, 1 inch of finely chopped ginger, some curry leaves and saute well.
- Now add 1 finely chopped onion and roast well on medium flame until it becomes translucent.
- After onion become a little translucent, add 1/4 cup of chopped carrot, 3 tbsp of frozen peas and roast well.
- After 2 minutes, add 3 cups of water + 3 tbsp of water, salt as per taste, mix well, and boil for 2 minutes on high flame.
- After 2 minutes, turn the flame to low, little by little, add roasted semolina and mix well.
- Now, close the lid and cook for 2 minutes on a low flame.
- After 2 minutes, remove the lid and turn off the flame.
- Now add lemon juice, roasted peanuts & cashew and, mix well and close the lid for 1 minute.
- After 1 minute, remove the lid and add finely chopped coriander & 1 tbsp of ghee.
- Now your Perfect Hotel Style Upma is ready, and you can enjoy it.
