Materials
- 2 Bowl Til / Sesame
- 2 Bowl jaggery
- Pistachio for Garnishing
Instructions
- To make the perfect Til Gud Chikki, place a pan on flame, add 2 cups of sesame seeds, and dry roast on low flame(Do Not roast Til/sesame on High flame and not more than 2 to 3 minutes).
- After 2 minutes, turns off the flame and transfer the roasted sesame seeds to a plate and let it cool.
- Now, take a plastic sheet and grease it with oil/ghee.
- Now, again, place the pan on flame, add 2 cups of crushed jaggery, 1 tbsp of water and melt the jaggery and keep stirring.
- After jaggery starts boiling & melts, add some drops of jaggery in water; if jaggery turns like crystal, this means jaggery and cooked perfectly; otherwise, cook a little more.
- After some time, add roasted, add 1 tbsp of ghee and mix well.
- After jaggery turns like a crystal, add roasted sesame, mix well, and turn off the flame.
- Now, transfer the Chikki mix to greased sheet and spread well with the help of a spoon(make sure you grease this spoon).
- Now, place another greased sheet on Chikki and roll it using a rolling pin to medium thickness.
- Now remove the upper sheet, make cut marks on the Chikki, and set it for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, check your Chikki and break it into pieces.
- Now your perfect Til Gud Chikki is ready, and you can enjoy it.
