  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Carom seeds – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp 
  • Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 3 tbsp 
  • Cued – 4 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander – 1/4 cup
  • Warm water 
  • Oil

Materials

  • Fenugreek leaves – 1 bunch
  • Green chillies – 3-4
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Gram flour – 3 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Carom seeds – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Cued – 4 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander – 1/4 cup
  • Warm water
  • Oil

Instructions

  • To make the perfect Methi Thepla, take one bunch of Fenugreek leaves, remove the stems, and wash well.
  • Next step: finely chop the fenugreek leaves.
  • Next step: take a grinding jar, add 3–4 green chilies, 1 inch of ginger, 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, and a little water, and make a fine paste.
  • Next step: Take a wide plate and add 2 cups of wheat flour and three tablespoons of gram flour.
  • Next step: salt as per taste, 2 tsp of Kashmiri red chili powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of carom seeds, 1/2 tsp of asafoetida, 1 tsp of kasuri methi, and 1 tsp of sesame seeds
  • Next step: add prepared paste, 3 tablespoons of oil, 4 tablespoons of curd, chopped methi (fenugreek leaves), 1/4 cup of chopped coriander, and mix everything well.
  • Next step: add warm water as required and prepare a soft dough.
  • Next step: apply the oil to the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, check the dough and knead again.
  • Next step: one by one, prepare small-sized balls with the dough.
  • Next step: one by one, roll the Thepla.
  • Next step: place a Tawa on flame and heat well on medium flame.
  • Next step: place the Thepla on the tawa and roast it on high flame for 30 seconds.
