Split Biscuits Cake Recipe | How to make Split Biscuits cake at Home | Vettu Cake Recipe
Materials
- 1/2 cup Hot Milk
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 2 pinches Saffron food colour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 cups All Purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Semolina
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- To make the perfect split cake, special biscuits, or Biscuit Vettu cake, first take a bowl and add 1/2 cup of hot milk.
- Now add 3/4 cup of sugar, 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder, 2 tbsp of ghee, two pinch saffron food color, and mix everything well.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of baking powder(alternatively use baking soda), 1/4 tsp of salt, and mix everything well.
- Now, little by little, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp of fine semolina(optional), mix well, and prepare a soft dough.
- Now coat the dough with ghee, cover it, and let it rest for 1/2 hour.
- After 1/2 hour, check the dough and prepare a medium thickness roll.
- Now, cut it into small equal pieces.
- Now, take one piece and make a cross-cut mark on it like the following image.
- Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for deep dry and heat well on medium flame.
- After oil, turn medium hot, add prepared Vettu cake into oil and fry well.
- After some time, flip all cake and fry well on low flame.
- After all biscuits cake turns golden and crispy, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
- Now your amazing Vettu cake is completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
