Sooji Dosa Recipe | Rava Dosa Recipe | How to make Sooji Dosa at Home
Materials
- Semolina – 1/2 cup
- Rice flour – 1/2 cup
- All-purpose flour- 1/4 cup
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder -1/4 tsp
- Chopped Curry Leaves – 1 tbsp
- Water – 3 cup
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Peanut – 2 tbsp
- Chopped Tomato – 1
- Green Chilli – 2 to 3
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Garlic Turmeric Powder – 2 pinch
- Salt as per Taste
- Asafoetida – 2 pinch
- Tamarind Paste – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Mustard – 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Black gram/Urad dal
- Dried Red Chili – 1
- Chopped Onion – 1
- Chopped Green Chilli – 3 to 4
- Grated Ginger – 1.5 inch
- Chopped Coriander
- Water – 1/4 cup
- Gunpowder/Podi Powder
Instructions
- To make the perfect Rava Dosa, take a bowl, and add 1/2 cup of semolina, 1/2 cup of rice flour, and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of pepper powder, 1 tbsp of chopped curry leaves, and mix everything well.
- Next step – add 3 cups of water, mix well and prepare a buttermilk consistency batter.
- 4 – Next step – take a bowl, add one chopped onion, 3-4 chopped green chilli, 1.5 inches of grated ginger, and chopped coriander, and mix everything well.
- Next step – check the batter, add 1/4 cup of water if required, and mix well.
- Next step – place a tawa on flame, grease it with onion, and heat well.
- After the Tawa is hot, sprinkle the prepared onion mix on the tawa and pour the Dosa batter on the tawa.
- After the Dosa turns dry, turn the flame to low, and sprinkle gun powder(alternatively, you can use sambar powder, pow bhaji powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, or schezwan sauce).
- Next step – apply butter to the Dosa.
- After the Dosa turns crispy, transfer the Dosa to a plate.
- To make the crispy Rava Dosa without onion, grease the tawa and heat well.
- Next step – pour the prepared batter and roast well.
- After the Dosa turns dry, add oil and roast well.
- After the Dosa turns crispy, turn off the flame and transfer the Dosa to a plate.
- Now both types of Dosa are completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
Dosa Chutney
- To make the amazing Dosa Chutney, place a pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil, and 2 tbsp of peanuts, and roast well.
- Next step – add one chopped tomato, 2-3 chopped green chilli, 1 inch of ginger, and 7-8 garlic cloves, and roast well.
- After roasting, add two pinches of turmeric powder, salt as per taste, two pinches of asafoetida, and 1 tsp of tamarind paste, and mix everything well.
- After mixing well, turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Next step – add the chutney mix into a grinding jar, little water and make a fine paste.
- Next step – place a tempering pan on flame, add 1 tsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, curry leaves, black gram, and one dry red chilli and mix well.
- Next step – turn off the flame and pour the prepared tempering on the chutney.
- Now your perfect Dosa Chutney is ready, and you can enjoy it.
