Materials

  • Sooji/Semolina – 2 cups
  • Curd – 1 cup
  • Sugar Powder – 1 cup
  • Cooking Oil – 1/2 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Tutti Frutti
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp

Instructions

  •  To make Sooji cake in Kadhai, first, take a grinding jar, add 2 cups of semolina and make a fine powder.
  • Now take a wide bowl, add 1 cup of fresh curd and whisk well with a whisker until smooth.
  • Now add 1 cup of sugar powder and mix well with a whisker.
  • Now add 1/2 cup of cooking oil( neutral oil) and mix well.
  • Now, little by little, add sooji powder and mix well.
  • Now, little by little, add 1/2 cup of milk(as required) and mix well in one direction and make a ribbon consistency batter and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Now, take 1/4 cup of tutti frutti, add 1 tsp of wheat flour, and mix well.
  • Now, take a heavy base kadhai and grease it with oil.
  • Now, place butter paper into the Kadhai and grease it with oil.
  • After 15 minutes, check the batter, and if your batter has turned thick, then add a little more milk and mix well.
  • Now add 1 tsp of vanilla essence, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp of milk, and mix well in one direction.
  • Now add coated tutti fruity and mix well.
  • Now transfer the batter into Kadhai and tap to remove the bubbles.
  • Now garnish it with tutti fruity.
  • Now, place the Kadhai on low flame, close the lid, and bake for 25-35 minutes.
  • If you do not have a heavy base kadhai, then place a Tawa on flame, preheat it then put the Kadhai on the Tawa.
  • After 25 Minutes check the cake with a toothpick, and if the toothpick is clean, this means the cake is cooked perfectly; otherwise, bake for 5 minutes.
  • Now turn off the flame and let the cake cool.
  • Now, take out the cake on a platform.
  • Now your Sooji cake is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
