Crispy Chaat Squire Recipe | How to make Chaat Squire | Sooji Breakfast Recipe
Materials
- Semolina – 1 cup
- Curd – 1/2 cup
- Oats – 1/4 cup
- Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
- Finely chopped Carrot – 1
- Finely chopped onion – 1
- Finely chopped green Chilli – 3
- Finely chopped capsicum – 1
- Finely chopped tomato – 1
- Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli flakes – 1 tsp
- Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
- Finely chopped Coriander
- Salt as per taste
- Eno Fruit Salt – 1 Sachet
- Lemon Juice Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Slit green chillies – 3
- Green chutney
- Nylon Sev
Instructions
- To make amazing Chaar squires, first take a bowl and add 1 cup of semolina.
- Now add 1/2 cup of curd and 1/4 cup of oats powder(take 1/4 cup of oats and make a fine powder using a grinder, then use it).
- Now add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, one chopped carrot, one chopped onion, two chopped green chilli, one finely chopped capsicum, one chopped tomato.
- Now add 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 1 tsp of red chilli flakes, 1 tsp of chaat masala, finely chopped coriander, and mix well.
- Now add water as required and prepare a semi-soft batter.
- Now add salt as per taste and mix well and let it Set for 5 minutes.
- Now place a pan on flame, add 2 cups of water, close the lid, and boil for 5 minutes.
- Now, take a cake tin/bowl, grease it with oil, and keep it aside.
- After 5 minutes, check the batter and add more water to adjust the consistency if required.
- Now add one sachet of Eno fruit salt, lemon juice and mix everything well.
- Now, transfer the mix into the greased tin and spread well.
- Now, check the boiling water and place a stand into the pan.
- Now, place the tin on the stand, close the lid and steam for 15-20 minutes on a low medium flame.
- After 15 – 20 minutes, check the chaat squire with the help of a toothpick; if the toothpick is clean, this means it cooked perfectly or if the toothpick is not clean, then steam for 5 minutes more.
- Now, take out the tin from the pan and let it cool completely.
- Now separate edges and take the chaat squire from the tin.
- Now, cut it into small squire pieces.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, curry leaves, 3-4 slits green chilli, and saute well.
- Now place prepared chaat squired into pan and roast well on both sides.
- After all chaat squired turns golden and crispy, transfer it to a plate and roast the next batch.
- Now, take a chaat squired and coat it with green chutney on all sides.
- Now coat it with nylon Sev.
- Now your Chaat squire is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
