  • Chopped Capsicum – 2
  • Chopped Onion – 2
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp

  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Gram flour – 2 tbsp

  • Mustard Oil – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 2 tsp
  • Cardamom – 2
  • Clove – 2
  • Black Peppercorns – 4 to 5
  • Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinch
  • Chopped Green Chili – 2 to 3
  • Chopped Ginger
  • Chopped Garlic
  • Chopped Tomato – 1
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Water – 1/2 cup

Instructions

  • To make the perfect Shimla Mirch Pyaz ki Sabzi, take two capsicums and two onions and cut them like the following image:
  • Now take a bowl and add 1/2 cup of curd, 2 tsp of Kashmiri red chili powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 2 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 2 tbsp of gram flour, and Kasoori methi.
  • Now add one teaspoon of mustard oil and mix everything well.
  • Now add the chopped capsicum and onion to the prepared paste and mix well.
  • Now place a kadhai on the flame, add two tablespoons of oil, and heat well.
  • After the hot oil, add two green cardamoms, two cloves, 4–5 peppercorns, one teaspoon of cumin seeds, two pinches of asafoetida, and sauté a little.
  • After a few seconds, add 2-3 chopped green chilies, chopped ginger, and chopped garlic, and roast well.
  • After a minute, add one chopped tomato, a pinch of Kashmiri red chili powder, a pinch of turmeric powder, and salt as per taste, and mix everything well.
  • After some time, add 1/4 cup of water and mix well.
  • Now add the marinated capsicum and onion and cook well on low heat.
  • After some time, turn the flame to medium and cook well.
  • Now add 1/2 cup of water, mix well, and cook for 3–4 minutes with a closed lid.
  • After 4 minutes, turn off the flame and garnish it with chopped coriander and split green chilies.
  • Now your perfect Shimla Mirchi Pyaz Ki Sabzi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
