Materials
- All Purpose Flour – 500 gm
- Ghee – 5 tbsp
- Sugar – 500g
- Water – 250 ml
- Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp
Instructions
- To make the Perfect and crispy Shakkar Para, take a bowl and add 500 grams of all-purpose flour to it.
- Now, make a hole in the flour and add 5 tbsp of ghee.
- Now add one pinch of salt, and mix everything well until the flour absorbed the ghee completely.
- Now, little by little, add warm water, knead well and prepare a semi-soft dough.
- Now, cover the dough with a wet cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, check the dough and knead well one more time.
- Now, take a small portion of dough and prepare a round ball with it.
- Now roll the dough to a medium thickness.
- Now cut it into any shape you want, like diamond shape or rectangle, or squire.
- Now, prepare the Shakkar Para with the remaining dough.
- Now, place a pan on flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
- After the hot oil, add prepared Shakkar Para into the pan and fry well on low flame.
- After the Shakkar Para turns golden & crispy, transfer them to a plate and fry the next batch.
- Now, place another pan on flame, add 500 grams of sugar, 250 ML of water and melt the sugar on high flame.
- After sugar melts, add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder, mix well and prepare a one-string consistency sugar syrup.
- After the sugar turns to one string consistency, add prepared Shakkar Para, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now turn off the flame, and stir continuously until the sugar syrup turns cool down.
- Now your perfect and crispy Shakkar Para is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
