Materials
- 2 cups Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1.5 cup Rice Flour
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Chopped Onion
- Chopped Coriander
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 10 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- 10 Dry Red Chillies
- 4 Chopped Tomato
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp Tamarind Paste
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
- Curry leaves
Instructions
- To make a unique style of Spicy rice Katori, first place a pan on medium flame.
- Now add 2 cups of water, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of oil, and boil on medium-high flame.
- After the water starts boiling, turn the flame to low and add 1.5 cups of rice flour in batches and mix well.
- Now turn off the flame and keep aside for 1 minute and let it a little cool.
- Now, take a plate and grease it with oil.
- Now transfer Rice flour mix on the plate and knead well with your hands.
- Now into the mix, add 1 tsp of cumin, one finely chopped onion, and finely chopped coriander.
- Now knead gently again with your hands and make a dough.
- Now, grease your hands with oil and pinch ball size dough.
- Now, prepare a bowl and give a bowl shape.
- Now prepare Rice Katori from all dough.
- Now, take a strainer and grease it with oil.
- Now, place all prepared rice Katori on the strainer upside down.
- Now, place a pan on flame and add water to it and boil for steaming.
- After the water starts boiling, place the strainer on the pan and close with a lid, and steam for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Now, to make Hotel-style Red chutney, place a pan on medium flame and add oil to it, and heat.
- After oil turns hot, add 1/2 tsp of cumin, 8-10 garlic, 1 inch of ginger, and roast well.
- Now add 10 – 15 dry red chili and roast on low flame.
- Now add four roughly chopped tomatoes, salt as per taste, 1 tsp of tamarind paste, and saute until tomatoes are soft.
- After 3-4 minutes, turn off the flame and let the mix cool.
- Now, take a grinding jar, add the mix to it, blend well, and make a fine paste.
- Now, to make Tadka, place a Tadka pan on flame, add 1 tsp of oil, and heat well.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp of Urad Dal, and some curry leaves.
- Now, turn off the flame and add Tadka to the chutney, and your restaurant-style Red chutney is entirely ready.
- Now, after 15 to 20 minutes, check your Rice Katori and turn off the flame and let them cool and steam the second batch of rice Katori.
- Now, to make your Rice Katori more attractive, add prepared red chutney to the rice Katori.
