Hotel Style Rava Idli Recipe | How to make Sooji Rava Idli at Home | Sooji Idli Recipe
Materials
- Ghee – 2 tsp
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Cumin Seed – 1/2 tsp
- White Lentil – 1 tsp
- Chickpeas Split – 1/2 tsp
- Chopped Green chilli – 2
- Chopped Ginger – 1 tsp
- Chopped Curry Leaves
- Cashew Nut – 7 to 8
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Semolina – 1 cup
- Salt Chopped Coriander
- Curd – 1 cup
For Nariyal Chutney
- Grated Coconut – 3/4 cup
- Coriander
- Mint Leaf
- Green chilli – 2 to 3
- Ginger – 1/2 inch
- Roasted Gram Dal – 3 tbsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Cumin Seed – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Imli Paste – 1 tsp
- Water – 2 to 3 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- White Lentil – 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Baking Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Water
- Cashew nut
For Potato Sagu
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Gram Dal – 1 tsp
- White Lentil – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 2 pinch
- Chopped Green Chili – 1 to 2
- Grated Ginger – 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves
- Chopped Onion – 1
- Grated Coconut – 1 tbsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Gram flour – 2 tbsp
- Boiled Potato – 4
- Water – 2.5 cups
- Salt as per Taste
- Sugar – 1/2 tsp
- Lemon Juice
Instructions
- To make the perfect Rava Idli, place a kadhai on flame, add 2 tsp of ghee and melt.
- After the ghee melts, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of urad dal, and 1 tsp of chana Dal and saute a little.
- Next step – add 2 tsp of chopped green chilli, 1 tsp of chopped ginger, chopped curry leaves, 7-8 cashew, one pinch of asafoetida, mix well and roast everything.
- Next step – add 1 cup of semolina, mix well, and roast on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
- After 2-3 minutes, turn off the flame, transfer the mixture to a plate, and let it cool (You can store the mix after it cools down).
- After the mixture cools down, add salt as per taste, chopped coriander, and mix everything well.
- Next step – add 1 cup of curd in batches and mix well.
- Next step – cover the batter and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, check the batter, add water as required, and prepare a thick batter.
- Next step – add 1/2 tsp of baking soda & little water and mix well.
- Next step – take an Idli mould, grease it, and place cashew nuts in all molds.
- Next step – fill the Idli batter into Idli moulds.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add water, and boil for 5 minutes.
- Next step – place the idli mould on the pan, close the lid and cook for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, check your Idli and transfer them to a plate(once they cool down).
- Now your perfect Hotel style Idli is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
Nariyal Pudina Chutney
- Take a grinding jar, add 3/4 cup of fresh coconut, coriander, mint leaves, 2-3 green chilli, 1/2 inch of grated ginger, 3 tbsp of roasted gram Dal, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida,1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of tamarind paste.
- Next step – add 2-3 tbsp of water and make a fine paste.
- Next step – place a tempering pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of ghee, and melt.
- After the ghee melts, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of Urad dal, and curry leaves, and let it crackle.
- After the tempering crackle, turn off the flame and pour it on the chutney.
- Now your amazing MTR Hotel-style Nariyal chutney is completely ready.
Potato Sagu Recipe
- Place a kadhai on flame, add 1 tsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of gram dal, 1 tsp of white lentil, and two pinches of asafoetida, and saute a little.
- Next step – add 1-2 chopped green chilli, 1 tsp of grated ginger, and curry leaves and roast for 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds, add one chopped onion, and saute well until the onion becomes golden.
- Next step – add 1 tbsp of freshly grated coconut, 1/4 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of coriander powder, and 1 tbsp of gram flour, and mix everything well.
- Next step – add one boiled & crushed potato and roast well.
- Next step – add 2.5 cups of water & 3 crushed potatoes, salt per taste, 1/2 tsp of sugar, and lemon juice and mix everything well.
- Next step – close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes on low medium flame.
- After 3-4 minutes, turn off the flame, and your MTR Hotel-style Aloo Sagu is completely ready to enjoy.
