Rava Barfi Recipe | How to make Semolina Barfi at Home | Sooji Barfi Recipe
Materials
- Ghee – 1/2 cup
- Sooji/Semolina – 1 cup
- Desiccated Coconut – 4 tbsp
- Sugar – 3/4 cup
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Kesar Food Color – 2 pinch
- Milk Powder – 2 tbsp
- Dry Fruits for garnish
Instructions
- To make amazing Rava Barfi, first place a Kadhai on flame and add 1/2 cup of ghee and melt.
- After ghee, melts add 1 cup of semolina and roast on low flame and stir continuously.
- After the semolina is roasted well, add 4 tbsp of desiccated coconut, mix well, and roast on low flame for 1 minute.
- Now turn off the flame and stir continuously.
- Now, place a pan on low flame and add 3/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of water and dissolve.
- Now add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, two pinch orange food colour, mix well, and cook until it turns sticky.
- After syrup turns sticky, turn off the flame and keep the pan aside.
- Now again, place semolina Kadhai on low flame.
- Now add prepared sugar syrup into semolina kadhai and mix well and stir continuously.
- Now add 2 tbsp of milk powder, mix well, and cook until it starts leaving the pan.
- To check that the barfi mix is cooked perfectly, take a small part of the mix and prepare a ball; Now, if the ball does not stick in your hands, then the barfi mix is cooked perfectly.
- Now, take a barfi tray, grease it with oil, and transfer the barfi mix to it and spread well.
- Now garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
- Now, keep the tray aside and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, check the barfi and cut it into small pieces.
- Now your Semolina Barfi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
