Materials
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- All-purpose flour – 1 cup
- Turmeric Powder -1/4 tsp
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Oil -2 tsp
- Bengal gram/Chana dal – 1 cup
- Jaggery – 1 cup
- Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- Nutmeg – 1 tsp
- Ghee
Instructions
- To make the amazing Puran Poli, take a wide plate, add 1 cup of wheat flour, and 1 cup of all-purpose flour, and mix well.
- Next step – add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, a pinch of salt, and 2 tsp of oil and mix everything well.
- Next step – add water as required and prepare a soft dough.
- Next step – coat the dough with oil and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Next step – take 1 cup of chana dal, and wash well.
- Next step – place a cooker on flame, add 4 cups of water, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp of oil, and boil.
- Next step – add washed chana dal, close the lid, and cook on high flame until a whistle.
- After a whistle, turn the flame to low and cook until 6-7 whistle.
- After the 6-7 whistle, turn off the flame, and filter the chana dal with the help of a strainer.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 1 tsp of oil, cooked Dal, and 1 cup of crushed jaggery, mix well, and cook.
- To check that Puran(Stuffing) is cooked perfectly, insert the spatula into Puran like the following image; If the spatula does not fall down this means Puran is cooked perfectly.
- Next step – turn off the flame, add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder and 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, and mix well.
- Next step – filter the prepared Puran with the help of a strainer.
- Next step – check the dough and prepare small balls with the dough.

- Next step – coat the dough ball in all-purpose flour, spread it, and give it a bowl shape.
