Materials

  • Ghee- 1 tbsp
  • Mawa- 400 gm
  • Jaggery/gud- 200gm
  • Water- 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom Powder- 1 tsp

Instructions

  • To make perfect Doda Barfi, place a pan on flame and add 1 tbsp of ghee, 400 grams of Mawa.
  • Now mix Mawa with ghee and roast on low flame until it turns golden.
  • While roasting the Mawa take another pan and add 200 grams of jaggery, 1/2 cup of water.
  • Now, place the pan on flame and boil, and prepare a one-string consistency syrup.
  • After 5-6 minutes, Mawa turns a little golden, add 1 tsp of cardamom powder and mix well.
  • To check that syrup consistency is perfect, take some water in a bowl,
  • Now add some drops of syrup in water; if syrup does not mix with the water, syrup consistency is perfect.
  • After Mawa turns golden, add prepared syrup into a pan, mix well, and stir consistently.
  • After the mix starts leaving the pan, turn off the flame.
  • Now, take a tray and grease it with ghee.
  • Now transfer the Barfi mix to the greased tray and spread well.
  • Now garnish it with Chopped almonds, cashew, and pistachio.
  • Now, let it set for 2-3 hours.
  • After 2-3 hours, cut the barfi into pieces.
  • Now your Doda Barfi is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
