Kanda Poha Recipe | How to make Poha at Home | Mumbai Style Kanda Poha Recipe
Materials
- Poha – 1.5 cups
- Salt as per taste
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Peanuts – 1 cup
- Chopped Potato – 1
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Chopped green chilli
- Curry leaves
- Chopped onion – 2
- Chopped coriander
- Roasted peanuts powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Crushed Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp
Instructions
- To make the Mumbai Style Kanda Poha, take 1.5 cups of Poha.
- Now, place a strainer on a bowl and add Poha into it.
- Rinse the Poha with the water and let the excess water removed completely.
- Now add salt as per taste, 1 tsp of sugar, and 1 tsp of lemon juice, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Next step – place a Kadhai on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 cup of peanuts into the pan and roast well.
- After the peanuts turn a little golden, transfer the peanuts to a plate.
- Next step – add one chopped potato into oil and roast well.
- After the Potato turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
- Next step – add little oil into the pan and heat
- After some time, add chopped green chilli and some curry leaves and roast well.
- Next step – add two chopped onions and roast well until it turns little pink.
- After the onion starts roasting, add chopped coriander and mix well.
- Next step – add 1 to 2 tbsp of roasted peanuts powder and roast well.
- Next step – add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and 1 tsp of crushed Kasuri methi and mix well.
- Next step – add fried potato, and mix well.
- Next step – add washed Poha fried peanuts, salt as per taste, and lemon juice, and gently mix everything well.
- Now garnish the Poha with chopped coriander, mix well and cook for 2 minutes with a closed lid.
- After 2 minutes, remove the lid and garnish the Poha with fresh coconut, fried green chilli, and lemon slice.
- Now your amazing Mumbai style Kanda Poha is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
