Materials

  • 2 cup Raw Peanuts 
  • 2 cup Desi Gud/Jaggery 
  • 1 tbsp Water 
  • 1 tsp Ghee 

Instructions

  •  To make Peanuts Chikki, take 2 cups of raw peanuts.
  • Now place on pan on low medium flame and add row peanuts to it.
  • Now dry roast peanuts on low flame continuously stirring until golden crisp.
  • Now turn off the gas and transfer peanuts on a plate/cloth and let it cool.
  • Now rub and peel peanuts with a cloth and remove the skin.
  • Now with the help of a strainer remove residue peel.
  • Now crush all peanuts lightly with your hands/Bowl and turn them into two parts.
  •  Now take a Plastic sheet/Butter paper and grease it with ghee.
  •  Now take another Plastic sheet grease it with ghee and keep them aside.
  •  Now take 2 cups of crushed jaggery/Gud.
  •  Now place a pan on low medium flame add jaggery into it.
  • Now add 1 tbsp of water and melt jaggery well on low flame continuously stirring.
  •  Now to check that jaggery is cooked well, take cold water into a Bowl.
  • Now drop some melted jaggery into cold water and check with your hands if it should form hardball then it cooked well (Do this test every two minutes).
  • Now add 1 tbsp of ghee into the pan and mix well.
  • Now check melted jaggery Add into the water if it forms hardball then add crushed peanuts to it.
  • Now turn off the gas and mix peanuts well into melted jaggery.
  • Now transfer all mix onto greased Sheet and spread while it is hot.
  • Now cover on top with another sheet and roll it with the help of a roller pin.
  •  When it is still warm cut into pieces and let it cool for 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Now your peanuts Chikki is ready and you can enjoy it
