Cake recipes are prepared in microwave or in pressure cooker but buying a oven can be a huge investment and and more importantly indian cooking generally does not involve baking process. Choco chips can used for preparing cake.It is made in Small bowls which is very easy to use & is easily available at home. This Fruit  Cake recipe is very easy to make.It is very tasty & mouth watering.

अब कटोरी में बनाये क्रिसमस वाली स्पंजी फ्रूट केक घर के सरल सामान से Christmas Fruit cake in Katori

Jaggery/Gud – 1 cup
Hot water – 1/2 cup
Raisins/Kismish – 1 tbsp
Black Raisins/Kismish – 1 tbsp
Dates/Khajur – 1 tbsp
Cherries – 2 tbsp
Tutti Frutti – 2 tbsp
Mix fruit Juice – 1/2 cup
Wheat flour – 1.5 cup
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 pinch
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon Powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 1/3 cup(3 tbsp)
Almonds – 1 tbsp
Cashewnuts – 1 tbsp

  • To make fruit cake take a bowl.
  • Add Jaggery/Gud,Hot water and mix well and melt jaggery.
  • Add Raisins/Kismish,Black Raisins,Dates/Khajur,Cherries,Tutti Frutti,Mix fruit Juice and mix well.
  • Close lid and let it soak for 1 hour.
  • Take another bowl,Place a seive.
  • Add Wheat flour,Baking Powder,Baking Soda,Salt,Cardamom powder,Cinnamon Powder and Seive all ingredients.
  • Take any small bowl/cup.
  • Grease all the bowl/cups with oil.
  • Take a heavy based kadhai,Place a stand in the kadhai.
  • Close lid,Heat kadhai on low medium flame for 5-6 mins.
  • Check the soaked jaggery syrup
  • Add prepared syrup gradually and mix well.
  • Mix and prepare ribbon consistency batter.
  • Add oil and mix well.
  • Add Almonds,Cashewnuts and mix gently.
  • Transfer mix into greased bowl.
  • Fill only 3/4 of the bowl.
  • Garnish on top with cherries.
  • Garnish with Almonds and Tutti frutti.
  • Place a plate in the kadhai.
  • Place prepared katoris in kadhai.
  • On low flame close lid and Bake for 25-35 mins.
  • Check in between after 20-25 mins.
  • Ater 30 mins open lid and check.
  • Check with a tooth pick if clean baked perfectly.
  • Take a spoon or knife and seperate edges and demold cake from cups.
  • Fruit cake is ready to serve..Enjoy!!!
