Ingredients of Dhaba Style Aloo Paratha Recipe

For Dough

  • Wheat flour गेहू का आटा – 2 cups
  • Gram flour बेसन – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Salt as per Taste स्वादानुसार नमक
  • Ghee घी – 1 tbsp

For Stuffing 

  • Boiled potato – 5
  • Chopped Ginger/Green chilli 
  • Fennel seeds(Saunph) – 1 tsp
  • Red Chili(Lal Mirch) – 1tsp
  • Garam Masala  – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder  – 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder  – 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida/Hing – 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Kasoori Methi 
  • Salt as per Taste

Materials

For Dough

  • Wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Gram flour – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Salt as per Taste
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp

For Stuffing 

  • Boiled potato – 5
  • Chopped Ginger/Green chilli 
  • Fennel seeds(Saunph) – 1 tsp
  • Red Chili(Lal Mirch) – 1tsp
  • Garam Masala  – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder  – 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder  – 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida/Hing – 1/4 tsp
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Kasoori Methi
  •  Salt as per Taste 

Instructions

  •  To make Perfect Dhaba Style Aloo Paratha, first take a bowl and add 2 cups of wheat flour.
  • Now add 4 tbsp of gram flour, salt as per taste, and mix well.
  • Now, little by little, add water, knead well, and make a semi-soft dough.
  • Now add 1 tbsp of ghee to the dough and knead well one more time.
  • Now, cover the dough with a wet cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • To make Potato stuffing, take boiled & cooled potatoes and peel them.
  • Now grate all potatoes with the help of a grater.
  • Now, add 2 tbsp of finely chopped ginger-green chilli and finely chopped coriander into the grated potato.
  • Now add 1 tsp of fennel powder, 1 tsp of red chillli powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1 tsp of chaat masala.
  • Now add 1 tbsp of Kasuri methi and mix everything gently.
  • Now add salt as per taste and mix well.
  • Now prepare small balls with potato mix.
  • After 15 Minutes, check the dough, take a small portion of it, and prepare a round ball.
  • Now coat the dough with flour and spread it on a rolling board with your hands.
  • Now, apply ghee to the dough and place a stuffing ball on it.
  • Now, close the dough from all sides and remove the extra dough.
  • Now roll the dough to medium thickness and prepare a paratha.
  • Now place a Tawa on flame and heat well.
  • Now, place the prepared Paratha on Tawa and roast well on medium flame.
  • After some time, flip & roast the Paratha on another side.
  • Now add ghee/oil, spread well, flip it to another side again, and brush the ghee on top.
  • After Paratha turns golden, transfer it to a plate and roast the next Paratha.
  • If you want to make your Paratha differently, take a small portion of dough and roll it on a roller board.
  • Now, apply ghee to the dough, add stuffing, and give it a triangle shape.
  • Now, apply water on top and close it from all sides, and roll once.
  • Now place the Paratha on Tawa and roast well on low, medium flame.
  • After the Paratha turns a little golden, turn it to another side and roast well.
  • Now apply ghee on the Paratha and turn it to another side and apply ghee on top of it again and roast on both sides.
  • After our Stuffed Paratha turns golden, transfer it to a plate.
  • Now your perfect Aloo Paratha is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
