  • Dry coconut – 1 cup
  • Almonds – 1/2 cup
  • Cashew – 1/2 cup
  • Raisins – 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar powder – 1 tsp

  • Poha/Chivda – 500 grams
  • Coriander seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 2 tbsp
  • Black salt – 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Peanuts – 1 cup
  • Roasted gram dal – 1 cup
  • Dry coconut – 1 cup
  • Almonds – 1/2 cup
  • Cashew – 1/2 cup
  • Raisins – 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar powder – 1 tsp

Instructions

  • To make the perfect Poha Chivda, take 500 grams of Chivda/Poha, and strain it with the help of a filter.
  • Next step: take a grinding jar, add 2 tbsp of coriander seeds, 1 tbsp of cumin seeds, 2 tbsp of fennel seeds, and 2 tbsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder.
  • Next step: add 1 tbsp of black salt, salt per taste, 1 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of chaat masala, and 1/2 tsp of asafoetida, and make a fine powder.
  • Next step: place a pan on flame, add oil for frying, and heat well.
  • Next step: place a big strainer into the oil, like in the following image.
  • Next step: add 1 cup of raw peanuts and roast well on medium flame.
  • After roasting a well, transfer the roasted peanuts to a plate.
  • Next step: add 1 cup of roasted gram dal and roast for a minute.
  • After a minute, transfer the roasted gram dal to the plate.
  • Next step: add dry coconut (cut into slices) and roast well until golden.
  • After the coconut turns golden, transfer it to the plate.
