Materials
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Semolina – 3 tbsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram (Soaked) – 1/2 cup
- Black gram (soaked) – 3 tbsp
- Green chilli – 3 to 4
- Ginger – 1 inch piece
- Chopped Capsicum – 2 tbsp
- Chopped red Capsicum (optional) – 2 tbsp
- Chopped French bean – 2 tbsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- Dry Mango Powder – 1 tsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Chopped Coriander
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seed – 1 tsp
- Cumin Seed – 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves – 2 tbsp
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- Salt as per Taste
- Red Chili Flakes
- Chaat Masala
Instructions
- To make the amazing Atta Chana Dal Fara, take 1 cup of wheat flour in a bowl.
- Next step – add 3 tbsp of semolina, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of ghee, and mix everything well.
- Next step – little by little, add water and prepare a semi-soft dough.
- Next step – cover the dough with a wet cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Next step – take a grinding jar, add 1/2 cup of soaked Chana dal(soaked into water for 2 hours), and 3 tbsp of soaked Urad dal.
- Next step – add 3-4 green chilli, 1-inch ginger, grind on the pulse and make a coarse paste(add water if required).
- Next step – transfer the stuffing mix to a bowl.
- Next step – add 2 tbsp of chopped green capsicum, 2 tbsp of chopped red capsicum, and 2 tbsp of chopped french beans.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, and 1 tsp of dry mango powder.
- Next step – add salt as per taste, chopped coriander, and mix everything well.
- Next step – check the dough and prepare small balls with it.
- Next step – take a ball and roll a medium thick Puri.
- Next step – flip the Puri to another side and place 1 tbsp of stuffing on it.
- Next step – flip the Puri into half, seal the edges and make a design with the help of a fork.
- Next step – prepare the Dal Fara with the remaining dough and stuffing.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add water, and boil.
- After the water starts boiling, add prepared dal Fara into the water.
- Next step – close the lid and cook for 7-8 minutes.
- After 7-8 minutes, remove the lid, flip all Fara and cook for 6 minutes with a partially closed lid.
- After 6 minutes, transfer the cooked Chana Dal Fara to a plate and let them cool.
- Next step – cut the Chana Dal Fara into small pieces.
- Next step – place a pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 cumin seeds, 2 tbsp of curry leaves, and 1 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, and mix well on low flame.
