Aloo Puri Recipe | How to make Aalu Puri at Home | Punjabi Aloo Puri Recipe
Materials
- 2 Boiled and cooled Potato
- 2 Chilies
- 1/2 Inch Ginger
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
- 2 Turmeric Powder
- 2 pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tsp Ajwain
- 2 tbsp Sooji/Semolina
- 2 tbsp Gram Flour
- Finely Chopped Coriander
- 1.5 cup wheat flour
Instructions
- First, we will make the Aloo Masala for our Aloo Puri, and for this, take two boiled and cooled potatoes.
- Now, cut the potato into small pieces.
- Now, take a grinding jar and add two chopped green chilli, 1/2 inch of ginger, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of water and blend everything well.
- Now into jar and potato pieces and grind well and make a fine paste your Aloo Masala is ready.
- Now, take a wide bowl and potato mixture into it.
- Now add salt as per taste, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, two pinches of turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1 tsp of ajwain.
- Now add 2 tbsp of semolina, 2 tbsp of gram flour, finely chopped coriander.
- Now, little by little, add 1.5 cups of wheat flour and mix well and prepare a stiff dough, and do not add water.
- Now add 1 tbsp of oil and knead well again and make it smooth.
- Now cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, check the dough and add some drops of oil and knead well one more time.
- Now pinch small ball size dough.
- Now, take one piece of dough and prepare a round Peda with it.

Aloo Puri Recipe – Step By Step
1 – First, we will make the Aloo Masala for our Aloo Puri, and for this, take two boiled and cooled potatoes.

8 – Now, little by little, add 1.5 cups of wheat flour and mix well and prepare a stiff dough, and do not add water.
9 – Now add 1 tbsp of oil and knead well again and make it smooth.
10 – Now cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes.
11 – After 10 minutes, check the dough and add some drops of oil and knead well one more time.
12 – Now pinch small ball size dough.
13 – Now, take one piece of dough and prepare a round Peda with it.
14 – Now, place a pan on flame and add oil for frying and heat well.
15 – Now, take a Peda and roll a slightly thick Puri with a rolling pin.
16 – Now, one by one, roll all Puri from the remaining dough.
17 – Now slowly add one Puri into hot oil and fry well on both sides on medium flame.
18 – After Puri turns golden and crisp, transfer it to a plate and fry the next Puri.
19 – Now your Perfect and crispy Aloo Puri are completely ready, and you can enjoy them.
