Aloo Methi Recipe | Aloo Methi Ki Sabzi Recipe | Potatoes with Fenugreek Leaves
Materials
- Fenugreek – 1 Bunch
- Potato – 3
- Mustard Oil – 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
- Choppedn Onion – 2
- Chopped Garlic – 1 tbsp
- Chopped Ginger – 1 tsp
- Dried Red Chili – 2 to 3
- Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- Slited Green Chili – 2 to 3
- Chopped Tomato – 2
- Salt as per Taste
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
Instructions
- To make the perfect Aloo Methi, take a bunch of green Methi, and wash & remove the thick stem.
- Next step – chop the Methi.
- Next step – take 3 potatoes, peel them, cut into diced form and keep them in water.
- Next step – place a Kadhai on flame, add 2 tbsp of mustard oil, and heat well on medium flame.
- After the oil is hot, turn off the flame for some time.
- After some time, turn on the flame, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, and let it crackle.
- When the cumin seeds starts to crackle, add two chopped onions, 1 tbsp of chopped garlic, and 1 tsp of chopped ginger, and roast everything well on medium flame.
- After the onion turns little pink, add 2-3 dry red chilli, diced potato, mix well and cook.
- After some time, add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, and one tsp of red chilli powder, and mix well.
- After the potatoes turn a little soft, add 2-3 slit green chilli, two chopped tomatoes, and salt as per taste and mix well.
- Next step – close the lid and cook well for 3-4 minutes.
- After 3-4 minutes, remove the lid, and stir once.
- Next step – add 1 tsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, little water and mix well.
- After 1 minute, add chopped Methi, mix well and cook on low flame.
- After some time, add 1/2 tsp of garam masala, chopped coriander, and 1 tbsp of ghee mix everything well.
- After 3-4 minutes, turn off the flame, and serve your Methi Aloo.
- Now your perfect Methi Aloo is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
