Aloo Katli Masala Recipe | How to make Aloo Katli at Home | Aloo Masala Recipe
Materials
- Potatoes – 5
- Cooking oil – 3 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander seeds – 2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
- Pepper corns – 1/2 tsp
- Red chillies – 2
- Kasuri Methi – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dry mango Powder – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- To make Perfect Aloo Katli take 5 potatoes, peel them and keep them in water.
- Now, one by one, cut all potatoes into Katli shape like the following image.
- Now place a pan on flame and add 3 tbsp of oil, and heat well.
- After the oil is hot, add 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, and mix well.
- Now, add all potato pieces and mix well.
- Now, close the lid and cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame.
- While cooking the potato, place another pan on low flame and add 2 tbsp of coriander seeds, 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of fennel seeds, 1/2 tsp of peppercorn.
- Now, roast everything on low flame.
- After all Masala turns a little golden, add 2 dry red chilli, 1/2 tsp of Kasuri methi, and roast well.
- Now turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Now, take a grinding jar, add all roasted Masala into it, grind well, and make a coarse powder.
- After 8-10 minutes, check the potato pieces and add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp of Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of dry mango powder 1 tbsp of prepared Masala and mix everything well.
- Now cook for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.
- Now turn off the flame and garnish it with chopped coriander.
- Now your Aloo Katli is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
