Fruit cake Recipe | How to make Fruit cake at Home | Easy Katori Cake Recipe
Materials
- 1 cup Jaggery/Gud
- 1/2 cup Hot water
- 1 tbsp Raisins/Kismish
- 1 tbsp Black Raisins/Kismish
- 1 tbsp Dates/Khajur
- 2 tbsp Cherries
- 2 tbsp Tutti Frutti
- 1/2 cup Mix fruit Juice
- 1.5 cup Wheat flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Almonds
- 1 tbsp Cashewnuts
Instructions
- To make Fruit Cake First, take a bowl and add 1 cup of crushed jaggery to it.
- Now add 1/2 cup of hot water and mix well with a spoon and melt it.
- Now add 1 tbsp of raisins, 1 tbsp of black raisins, 1 tbsp of dates, 2 tbsp of cherries, 2 tbsp of tutti frutti mix everything well.
- Now add 1/2 cup of fruit juice and mix well.
- Now, close the lid and let it rest for 1 hour.
- Now, take a bowl and place a strainer on it.
- Now into the strainer, add 1.5 cups of wheat flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp of baking soda, one pinch salt, 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon powder.
- Now, sieve all ingredients into Bowl.
- Now, take small Bowls and grease them with oil.
- Now, place a heavy base Kadhai on flame and put a stand on it.
- Now, close the lid and preheat for 6-7 minutes on low flame.
- After 1 hour, check the fruit mix.
- Now, add fruit mix as required, mix well, and prepare a ribbon consistency batter into the wheat flour mix.
- Now add 3 tbsp of Oil ( Oil must be smell less oil) and mix well.
- Now add 1 tbsp of chopped almonds, 1 tbsp of chopped cashew and mix well.
- Now, fill the batter into greased Bowl and fill only 3/4 of the Bowl.
- Now garnish all Bowl with cherry, chopped almonds, and tutti Frutti.
- After 6-7 minutes, place a plate on Kadhai and place all bowls on the plate.
- Now close the lid, cook for 25 -35 minutes on low flame, and check between.
- After 35 minutes, check the cake with a toothpick.
- Now turn off the flame and let it cool.
- Now, take out the Katori from the Bowl.
- Now, take out the cake from the Katori.
- Now your Fruit cake is completely ready, and you can enjoy it.
