Sooji Halwa & Black Chana Recipe | How to make Sooji Halwa and Kala Chana at Home
Materials
Kala Chana Ingredients
- 2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
- 2 tbsp Water
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 pcs Bay Leaf
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida(Hing)
- 1 tsp Grated Ginger
- 1 pcs Finely Chopped Green Chilli
- Finely chopped Coriander leaves
Sooji Ka Halwa
- 1/2 cup Semolina
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 4-5 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp Chopped Almonds
- 1 tbsp Chopped Cashew
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
Kala Chana Recipe – Step By Step
- To make Black Chana first take 1 cup of Black Gram and Soak into the water overnight.
- After 1 Day drain the water and keep black gram aside.
- Now take a Cooker and add 1 glass of water, Soaked black gram, and 1/2 tsp of salt to it.
- Now place the cooker on flame and cook for two whistles on medium flame.
- Now take a small bowl and add 2 tbsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of garam masala.
- Now add salt as per taste, 1 tsp of dry mango powder, and add 2 tbsp of water, and mix everything well.
- After 2 Whistle turns off the flame and Leave the Gram dal into the cooker for 5 to 6 minutes.
- After 6 Minutes Remove the lid and remove the excess water.
- Now place a pan on flame and add 2 tbsp of oil to it and heat.
- Now add 1 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 piece of bay leaf, 1/4 tsp of asafoetida, 1 tsp of ginger, 1 tsp of chopped green chilli, and saute everything well.
- Now add prepared Masala and mix everything well and cook until its starts releasing the oil.
- Now add Boiled Black Chana to it and mix well.
- Now close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now your Kala Chana is ready and garnish it with some chopped coriander.
Sooji Halwa Recipe – Step By Step
- To make Sooji Halwa first take 1/2 cup of semolina, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of ghee.
- Now place a pan on medium flame and add ghee to it and melt.
- After ghee melts turn the flame to low and add semolina to it and mix well and roast.
- After 4 to 5 minutes add some chopped cashew nuts and almonds and mix well.
- Now add 1 tbsp of raisin and mix well.
- Now add 2 cups of water and 1/2 cup of sugar and mix everything well and boil.
- While boiling it add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder and mix well.
- After it turns thick turn off the flame and transfers it to a plate.
- Now your Sooji Halwa and Kala chana are ready and You can serve them.
